I'm back. and married. with pictures!
My photographer is putting the pictures up as she finishes editing them each day, so I don't have the whole set of them yet. For this reason, I won't share them on facebook yet. I want to wait until I have them all to put up at once on facebook, because I feel like when I keep adding pictures to the same facebook album and publishing them each time, that I get on people's nerves. I know, I'm crazy.
So anyways, I thought as a special treat for my blog fans (if they even still exist....hello? hello? anyone here?) that I would share some here! We'll call it show and tell. I used to LOVE show and tell and once brought all 28 of my Barbie dolls in for ONE show and tell. I wish I could remember whether or not I showed and told about each and every Barbie doll. I guess I've always been a kinda "look-at-me, look-at-me!" type. But that's what blogging is all about, right? Riggghhhhhtttt.
So without further ado, let me show and tell:
Here, we were instructed to just casually walk along the bank of the lake while we were photographed. However, the ducks must also really like this particular bank because there was duck poop everywhere! Can you see John's finger slightly pointing to something? He was pointing out any duck poop for me so I would not drag my dress through it!
We literally ran over to this spot for this picture and the next one, trying to beat the sun before it set behind the trees.
You can't tell me that you've ever seen flower girls cuter than these! If you enlarge the picture, you can see the handful of petals that Lori is throwing at this exact second! She would make sure there were NO flower petals left undropped. They took their flower-girling very seriously and did such a good job!
My handsome daddy-o!John did NOT take his eyes off of me the entire ceremony. I know this sounds terrible, but I couldn't do it in return! I felt so uncomfortable cause I felt like I was staring. So while his eyes stayed FIXED on me (awww, so sweet!) I had to occasionally look away. Sorry John! He knows how much I love him anyways!
This was after we cut the cake...the big question was whether or not John was going to smash it in my face because I had said for weeks how I did NOT like that. Well, even against all of the provoking from the crowd, he did not smash cake in my face. This picture captured it perfectly; the face I'm making says it all, "Seeeeee friends, he listens to ME not YOU!"
My grandmother, Manu, is no longer with us. But one of the things we all remember was the huge hydrangea bush that she always had in front of her house. There really was no question what flowers I was going to use all along...even if they are more of a spring flower. We ordered the flowers wholesale and my sisters and I made the bouquets ourselves. I LOVED them!
Our wedding favors were cookies! We had a cookie buffet set out and each guest got to fill up a bag of cookies to take home with them. This was definitely one of my favorite details of the whole wedding. I LOVE the way it looked! My most crafty sister, Christy, made all of those cookie name signs! She did such a good job! And thanks to my mom and both sisters for making all of the cookies!
We did a boat send-off after the reception since we were on the lake. We originally asked our friend Matt's parents to use their boat, but we reconsidered because we wanted them to be able to enjoy themselves without having to worry about driving a boat later in the evening. So we gave up on the idea, until at the last moment, a friend of my sister and brother-in-law offered to let us use his boat since he is literally right around the corner. Who could say no!?
